Due to its high reoxidation potential in water (2.07V, second only to fluorine, ranking second), ozone is commonly used for sterilization, deodorization, deodorization, decolorization, etc., and has a wide range of applications in drinking water treatment. At present, there are still some problems in using ozonation technology alone to treat wastewater.

The reaction between ozone and organic matter is highly selective, and at low doses and in a short time, ozone cannot completely mineralize pollutants, and the intermediate products generated by decomposition will prevent further oxidation of ozone.

The production cost of ozone is high, the utilization rate is low, and the treatment cost is high. Therefore, the research on improving the utilization rate and oxidation capacity of ozone is a hot spot at home and abroad.
