The cause and treatment of severe emulsification of oil and water in electric desalting tank and large amount of cut water with oil

The reason:

1. The injection amount of demulsifier is not suitable, and the wide spectrum of demulsifier selected is poor, resulting in the thickening of demulsifier layer;

2. The water quality of electrodesalination water injection is poor and the pH value is high;

3 oil-water mixing strength is too high, resulting in mechanical emulsification;

4 The amount of crude oil processing is too high or the nature of the processed crude oil is poor, the cut water carries a large amount of emulsion or the oil-water settlement separation time is not enough, resulting in the cut water oil;

5 Low desalting temperature.

Treatment method:

1 Properly adjust the injection amount of demulsifier, re-screen the demulsifier, and select the demulsifier with good spectral properties;

2 If purified water is used, contact the relevant units in time to improve the quality of purified water, and resolutely use fresh water or demineralized water for secondary electrical desalination;

3. Reduce the mixing strength of electric desalting to within the process range, adjust the mixing strength of oil and water timely according to the properties of crude oil. It is generally recommended to control the light oil at 30 ~ 80kpa and the heavy oil at 50 ~ 130kpa;

4 Contact relevant units to stabilize the nature of processed crude oil and reduce the amount of crude oil processing within the design load;

5 Appropriately increase the electric desalting temperature to make it within the process index;
