In September 2023, SINOKLE successfully signed a comprehensive oilfield wastewater treatment project for a large oil field in Congo, which is another important achievement of SINOKLE Technology's response to the country's "Belt and Road" initiative.


It is reported that the oil field is the first oil field development cooperation project between China and the DRC, which is of great significance. The total area of the oil field is 930 square kilometers, with an annual output of over 4 million tons of crude oil. As an important supporting link of the oilfield, the environmental protection water treatment facilities are closely related to the stable production expansion of the oilfield. The main objective of the project is the integrated treatment of wastewater generated from Congo's large oil fields to achieve sustainable use of resources and environmental protection. The wastewater in this oilfield is mainly composed of combined station wastewater (3500t/d), fracturing flowback fluid (1000t/d) and drilling waste fluid (100t/d). Oilfield mixed wastewater has high salinity, high content of suspended matter, high content of emulsified oil, easy emulsification, and complex composition, which makes treatment more difficult. Fracturing flowback waste liquid produced in the fracturing process of oil Wells is one of the most difficult wastewater to treat because of its complex pollutant composition, high concentration, high viscosity and difficulty in treatment.


In order to achieve the standard discharge of oilfield wastewater, combined with the characteristics of the fracturing flowback fluid in the Congo oilfield, SINOKLE Technology adopts the overall technical solution with coalesce degreasing device, CDOF (ozone catalytic oxidation air floatation integrated device), CDFU (swirling dissolved air floatation), KFM (active filter material filter) and other equipment as the core. The problem of wastewater treatment in this oilfield is solved economically and efficiently.

The ozone catalytic oxidation air floatation Unit (CDOF) creatively combines multiple technologies such as ozone catalytic oxidation technology, swirl technology and dissolved air floatation technology to achieve efficient and comprehensive oxidation and removal of various pollutants in various difficult wastewater. The swirling dissolved gas flotation technology combines the swirling centrifugal separation technology, the new generation of dissolved gas technology and the high-efficiency flotation separation technology. Through the comprehensive effect of the micro-nano bubbles generated by swirling and dissolved gas and the specially designed high-efficiency flotation method, the flotation efficiency is greatly improved, the residence time of air flotation is shortened, and the oil and suspended matter are removed efficiently and quickly. KFM active filter material filter adopts new anti-pollution, special long-life modified filter material with oxidizing active groups produced abroad, and at the same time, by optimizing the internal water distribution, water collection structure and backwashing process of the filter, the key flow parts according to the water quality, choose to use all 316L, even titanium, reasonable choice of backwashing strength and backwashing time, reduce backwashing water. Thus, the wastewater treatment efficiency is improved, energy consumption is reduced and cost is saved.

The specific characteristics of the process plan are as follows:


The combination of ozone oxidation and air flotation and other multiple technologies to remove colloidal and emulsified oil in sewage, oil-water separation efficiency is high, the effect is stable, and the treatment effect is not unstable due to changes in the quality of sewage and dirty oil (raw water is mixed by three streams of water, stable separation is difficult).


The separation technology based on physical separation and supplemented by no or a small amount of flocculant has good separation effect, stable performance, no or less secondary pollution, less oily sludge (hazardous waste), less supporting equipment, lower investment, low operating costs, and better economic and environmental benefits.


The equipment covers a small area, only 1/5 of the traditional coagulation precipitation filtration equipment, greatly reducing infrastructure investment, saving land resources, and greatly shortening the project construction cycle.


Fully automated control can accurately control and optimize equipment operation according to the change of inlet water quality, while ensuring the effect, reduce energy consumption, reduce manual operation, low operation and maintenance cost, stable and reliable performance.
